LightVisions was established by its President, Allan Brooks, in 1986 as a traditional photographic lab in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. In 1999 LightVisions converted to a wide format digital inkjet printer and expanded into a new 9,000 square foot facility situated next door to the Winnipeg International Airport. Today the company employs over 35 people, in two plants that encompass over 35,000 square feet of production space. This makes LightVisions one of the largest digital imaging companies in Western Canada. Ideally located at the center of the continent on major trucking routes and next door to Canada’s third busiest 24 hour air freight hub, shipping anywhere in Canada and the USA is quick and cost efficient.

Over the last 25 years LightVisions has stayed on the leading edge of new digital technology allowing clients to be constantly innovative. The company is divided into four separate departments: Prepress, Printing, Finishing and Kitting. The Prepress Department offers complete production services in design, scanning, Photoshop and layout. The Printing Department currently operates 6 roll-to-roll inkjet printers up to 126” wide and 3 UV flat bed printers for printing direct to rigid substrate including the new revolutionary Inca S20 fully automated flatbed printer. With this wide range of print technology virtually any roll fed or rigid material can be printed. The Finishing Department operates two 65” wide mounting and laminating presses, a 65” UV clear coater, a 60” x 120” Zund Digital Contour Cutter, a 53 foot Miller Heat Welder and also includes a complete woodworking shop. The Kitting Department provides in house custom kitting and crating for any size project and supplies complete shipping logistics.
